Bequest Language
Planning for the future and creating the legacy you wish to leave is one of the most effective ways to ensure a lasting impact. Making a gift in your will or living trust, known as a bequest, can guarantee that your legacy endures. Your gift may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after all other provisions are specified.

For an unrestricted gift that allows the UNLV Foundation to determine how to use the funds based on the most pressing needs, use the following language for your will and/or trust:
"I give to The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Foundation, a Nevada nonprofit corporation located at 4505 S. Maryland Parkway/Box 451006, Las Vegas, NV 89154-1006, Federal Tax ID #94-2790134, or its successor thereto, _________ (written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property). This bequest is unrestricted and the Board of Trustees or other governing body of the Foundation may use and expend the same for the benefit of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in any manner it deems appropriate."
To designate your provision for a particular purpose:
"I give to The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Foundation, a Nevada nonprofit corporation located at 4505 S. Maryland Parkway/Box 451006, Las Vegas, NV 89154-1006, Federal Tax ID #94-2790134, or its successor thereto, _________ (written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property). This gift should be used for _________ (indicate specific purpose). If, in the judgment of The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Foundation, it shall become impossible or not prudent to use this bequest to accomplish the specific purpose of this bequest, the Board of Trustees or other governing body of the Foundation may use it for a purpose consistent with the original purpose as stated above."
