A Healthy Dose of Generosity

Looking after others' health and well-being comes naturally to Lisa and Tim Jones. She had a 29-year career with the Nevada State Health Division, while he most recently served as head of safety and health for MGM Resorts after more than 20 years with Employers Insurance Company of Nevada. Both received master's of public administration degrees from UNLV.

Now retired, the couple is looking to create a healthy environment for future generations. They are accomplishing this through support of the UNLV Annual Fund — and by pledging a gift to the university through their estate. "A healthy, growing university is critical for any community," Lisa says.

"We give to UNLV because it really can make the future better," Tim adds. "All of the issues that need resolution in our community can be addressed through research and education."
